Who we are
The “Lagar da Sancha” olive oil project began with an unforeseen passion from an entrepreneurial couple, who had completely different professional lives outside of olive growing and agriculture.
In a short space of time, they became the owners of a significant area of traditional olive groves, all located in the Douro Wine Region, in the Parish and Municipality of Sabrosa, within the Demarcated Region of Port Wine and in a stunning landscape of the Pinhão River valley. The name “Sancha” is related to the very old nomenclature of the area where the current approximately 2200 olive trees that are part of the property are located.
